Accommodations at Moose Point Lodge
There are nine separate cabins at Moose Point, each with its own sleeping quarters, indoor table and chairs, and full bathroom including a shower.
The cabins vary in size and sleep between 2 and 10 guests, allowing us to fit just about any group. You will find your humble abode to be rustic and true to the traditional sporting camp era, with wood stoves (wood, kindling, and tinder provided), gas lights, and no electricity… the one major alteration being the addition of the private bathrooms in each cabin.
Because Moose Point was designed and built in the traditional manner where meals are prepared and served in the main lodge, the cabins do not have their own kitchens. There is well water available from the bathroom tap (tested and certified with the state annually), but no kitchenware or appliances. However, there is an outdoor gas grill with each cabin, as well as indoor and outdoor seating areas, so if you wish to bring your own food, you can certainly make do, as long as you bring all of your kitchen wares, including a cooler with ice for your cold items.
A common gripe with sporting camps is the bedding – fear not, our cabins come fully made up with all linens, blankets, and towels, and everything is new and clean! Even the mattresses - every one - were replaced when the camps last changed hands in 2023. You will find basic supplies in your cabin such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, lighters, flashlight, games etc. as well as safety items such as smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit.
The cabins at Moose Point are simple, but that is, after all, what being in the woods is all about. When you unpack and sit back on the cabin porch with a drink in hand and a dream for tomorrow, we doubt there will be anything you need that isn’t there.
