The Northern Maine woods offer a classic wilderness whitetail deer hunting experience, renowned for its vast, rugged forests and the opportunity to pursue exceptionally large-bodied bucks.
This region is recognized for producing some of the heaviest whitetail deer in the United States, with many bucks exceeding 200 pounds dressed weight.

Moose Point Lodge is located in the middle of over 3.5 million acres of forest, providing extensive, remote hunting grounds with minimal hunting pressure. Bucks in this region are genetically adapted for survival in harsh winters, resulting in large body sizes and impressive antlers.
